Rebel'n

Blockchain for Social Good
Rebel'n

Rebel'n was a project designed to support gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

The Rebel'n website hosted a collection of rebels - a generative set of 10,000 unique rebel images available for sale as collectable non-fungible tokens - or NFTs.

A minimum of eighty percent of all sales was placed in an open treasury contract - funds from which were used to provide direct financial support to selected groups and individuals.

Women and girls are disproportionately affected by issues related to gender disparities in education, economics, and even climate change. And yet, it turns out that in addition to the direct benefits of providing financial support to individuals in need, there are corresponding broad social and economic benefits associated with the support of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

And so Rebel'n's mission to support women and girls was based simply on the fact that when they thrive, we all thrive.

Rebel'n was successful in design, execution, and the development of lasting partnerships with organizations supporting underprivileged women and girls. Unfortunately, due to the overall sentiment towards blockchain and NFT technology after a series of infamous insolvencies and security incidents across the broader blockchain and token industry, Infonomic made the difficult decision to close the project - focusing instead on supporting several project partners directly, using many of the tools and character styles developed during the development of Rebel'n.
